THE PROBLEM
The vast majority of golf shorts on the market are actually just leisurewear being marketed as sportswear. They're made from heavy fabrics that trap moisture and heat and they tend to feature pockets made for things that golfers don't want to carry through 18 holes like keys and wallets, instead of the things golfers do want to carry like a glove, a tee or a spare ball.
THE CONCEPT
The goal isn't to reinvent golf shorts completely. It is to rethink them through the lens of movement, durability and long-term wear. The concept combines:
- lightweight technical fabric
- clean athletic silhouette
- mobility-focused construction
- functional detailing
THE DESIGN
Prototype V1.2 focuses on refining the core structure and hardware of the Longgame Shorts.
Current areas of development include:
Testing more durable lightweight zippers that maintain structure without adding unnecessary rigidity or bulk.
Improving durability and finish quality to better match the overall technical direction of the garment.
Exploring post-production softening techniques that improve comfort and handfeel while maintaining performance characteristics and structure.
Development is ongoing.
